Whether you’re in frosty temps or warm weather, one thing is clear: The holiday season is here! And RE/MAX agents know the value in giving back now and year-round.

Take inspiration from these compassionate – and creative – ways RE/MAX affiliates around the world are supporting their communities this season.

Hosting festivities

In Enid, Oklahoma, RE/MAX Premier Realtors co-sponsored the town’s annual Christmas event where they inflated a RE/MAX hot air balloon, hosted tethered balloon rides, and collected donations for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.

Across the pond, RE/MAX Property Marketing in Dunfermline, Scotland, drummed up seasonal cheer by co-hosting a holiday-themed movie event for children at a local cinema.

Collecting donations

RE/MAX Achievers in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, is bringing Santa Claus to town! The festive event features cocoa and cider sipping as well as collecting donations for Toys for Tots, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s charity that delivers toys to children in need.

Likewise, Judy Gray’s RE/MAX Mid-Island Realty Team in Ucluelet, British Columbia, has been organizing an Angel Tree program around the holidays for over 20 years – and this year is no exception. They are currently collecting toys for 73 local children.

In Williams Lake, British Columbia, RE/MAX Williams Lake Realty is running their eighth-annual Cozy Coat Campaign, collecting coats to donate to the Salvation Army.

A continent away, RE/MAX of Southern Africa is hosting its RE/MAX National Toy and Book Collection campaign countrywide, asking for donations of toys, books, stationery supplies and children’s clothing to be dropped off at any RE/MAX office.

Up in the snowy mountains of Montana, RE/MAX Whitefish is partnering with local co-sponsoring companies to run the Lids for Kids program, providing free ski and snowboard helmets to children in an effort to keep them safe and help lower the cost of entry into those sports.

Getting involved with CMN Hospitals

RE/MAX Signature in Phoenix, Arizona, is back with its innovative virtual toy drive that sparked interest around the U.S. in 2020. This year, participating RE/MAX offices across the state are hosting the toy drive online to benefit CMN Hospitals affiliate Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Donations go toward toys, games, art supplies and birthday celebrations.

Note: To mark the season of giving, RE/MAX agents can join the Miracle Home Program and donate to their local CMN Hospitals affiliate year-round. Agents involved in the program make a minimum $25 contribution each time they close a transaction and, best of all, the donations stay local and benefit children in their own communities.

Helping animals

RE/MAX Abilene in Abilene, Texas, hosted its second annual fundraiser in partnership with the Abilene Kennel Club. The brokerage collected pet food for the Meals on Wheels program “Pet Food on Wheels,” and those who donated got their own pet’s photo taken with Santa Claus.

Looking for a similar way to give back all year? The holiday season is an ideal time to get a jumpstart! Find inspiration in Elizabeth Baker, an agent with RE/MAX Southern Shores in South Carolina, who covers the adoption fee for a “harder to adopt” dog or cat at her community’s animal shelter each time she completes a transaction.
