As the new President of REMAX, Alex Vidal is bringing nearly three decades of real estate experience, along with a deep passion for developing people, to the world’s most productive real estate network, as measured by residential transaction sides.
It’s that agent productivity, Vidal says, that attracted him to the brand.
“I’m very agent-centric, and I believe agents are the boss,” Vidal says. “My philosophy has always been, ‘What can I do to make their lives better and help them make more money?’ I’m pairing up with the best of the best to see if we can get to an even better level.”
As President, Vidal says he’ll be exploring what the brand is doing right to help franchisees and agents in their businesses, especially focusing on the things that empower agents to have their best year ever, no matter what’s happening in the real estate market.
“I’ve spent my career working alongside agents and Broker/Owners, understanding their businesses and helping them reach levels they may not have thought possible,” Vidal says. “I’m excited to bring that experience to the REMAX network, learn from the Broker/Owners and agents, and then work alongside them to make sure we’re helping make their lives easier.”

A Career Built in the Field
Vidal’s agent-centric perspective comes from his vast experience across different functions in the industry, including as a licensed real estate agent himself.
“I literally sold real estate knocking on doors,” he says. “I soon realized what it felt like to help make other people’s lives better. Then I started coaching agents – 30,000 to date – and seeing their lives change. I live for pushing people, for pushing Broker/Owners, for pushing agents, for pushing my team.”
His real estate career began at age 19 when he served as secretary to the president of Keyes Real Estate in South Florida. From there, he moved through roles in recruiting, sales, coaching and leadership, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges agents and Broker/Owners face as they build their businesses. Most recently, he served as President of ERA Real Estate, following three years as a regional vice president for Coldwell Banker.
His goal with REMAX, he says, is to build on the new strength of an iconic brand while creating even more opportunities for the entrepreneurs behind it.
“REMAX is an amazing brand, but sometimes you have to remind people just how amazing it is,” Vidal says. “I’m going to lock arms with the Broker/Owners and agents, so they feel empowered to go out and run free as they win in the market.”
Vidal intends to spend significant time in the field, building relationships and understanding what the REMAX network needs to better grow their businesses.
He wants to help existing agents become even more productive, and he wants to help Broker/Owners grow their franchises, including through mergers and acquisitions.
“Alex understands this business from the ground up and has spent his career helping agents, Broker/Owners and organizations reach the next level of what’s possible,” says Tamir Poleg, Chairman and CEO of Real REMAX Group. “He brings the experience, drive and competitive mindset this moment calls for. We have ambitious plans for REMAX, and Alex will play a central role in turning that ambition into action.”
A Transformational Time in the Industry
Vidal joins Real REMAX Group at an exciting time in the REMAX brand’s 53-year history. REMAX, which was acquired and became part of Real REMAX Group in August 2026, is now operating as part of what Poleg has called “a more innovative, more productive and more connected real estate ecosystem.”
For Vidal, it means he sees REMAX, its franchise model and its agents in a position to win. Being part of Real REMAX Group brings new opportunities to connect the network’s experience, independence and productivity with technology that can help REMAX affiliates work more efficiently. And he plans to be a visible advocate for the REMAX network and the professionals behind it.
“The franchise model does really well because it helps plug Broker/Owners and agents into a system that allows them to compete,” he says. “Look at REMAX and its per-agent productivity. Not only does the consumer recognize the brand, but the agents also understand that when they’re walking into a REMAX office, they’re walking into an office of producers.
“Real estate entrepreneurs will always be fiercely independent, but they want to be plugged in. They want to be associated with a brand that’s going to help them do additional business and stand out. That’s what I see for the future of REMAX.”
An Incredible Story to Tell
In his new role of President of REMAX, Vidal will lead all aspects of the REMAX brand, with its presence in more than 120 countries and territories, and work closely with the network’s more than 145,000 agents. His responsibilities include driving growth across regions, developing services for Broker/Owners and agents, and helping shape the brand’s long-term strategic vision alongside other Real REMAX Group leaders.
Vidal is ready to hit the ground running.
“REMAX has an incredible story to tell,” Vidal says. “I’m ready to remind the industry exactly what REMAX brings to real estate.”
