According to Adam, focus consists of two main components: willpower and attention.

Homing in on willpower, he explains it as an internal energy that motivates a person to improve themselves. However, negativity from others can have a devastating impact on willpower.

“Don’t let anybody steal that willpower from you. Criticism, reading social media, emotional overload [and] things like that steals your willpower,” Adam says.
