At 14 years old, Chris Ronzio started a video production company and began filming weddings, religious events and even virtual home tours. As his small business grew – eventually operating from coast to coast – he realized he needed a more organized way to ensure the same great customer experience at every office.

After Ronzio sold his media company in 2013, friends growing their own businesses began asking him for help with sustainable growth. Seeing how all industries could benefit from having better systems and processes in place, Ronzio started his own consulting company. The Trainual software, which helps fast-growing businesses automate their onboarding and training, was just one aspect of the company’s offerings at the time – but quickly grew to be its own company. Today, its focus remains on helping companies get organized and leaders learn how to delegate.

“Instead of tracking and [micromanaging], just train people. Empower them. Teach them how to do something and let them perform,” Ronzio advises.

On this week’s episode of Start With a Win, Ronzio joins RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos to share how that desire for an efficient process in a childhood business led to specializing in helping other businesses run smoothly.

“Delegating is the hardest thing for leaders [and] entrepreneurs to do because you’re great at whatever it is you’re doing – [otherwise] you wouldn’t have been doing it,” Ronzio says.

Tune in to the episode to hear more of Ronzio’s insights and learn why he believes inconsistency is the downfall of any business.
