In 2008, Robert Bentley, Co-Owner of RE/MAX Bentley’s, earned his real estate license and joined a RE/MAX brokerage. As his business grew, he formed a six-person team – where Christie was a member – that steadily expanded, earning the title of No. 1 team in Essex County for multiple years.

An entrepreneur who leads with passion, Bentley thrived in his role. Then, continuing to scale his business, he broke off in 2016 to build a brokerage, Bentley’s Real Estate, LLC. With a vision – and drive – Bentley quickly became a force to be reckoned with in the competitive local landscape.

“By 2019, we became the No. 1 office in the greater Newburyport market. That’s held true for five years in a row,” he shares.

According to both Bentley and Christie, moving the three-office brokerage to the RE/MAX brand helps position their agents and teams for continued success.

Though they evolved their business into a brokerage, Bentley and Christie haven’t forgotten their roots with the team structure.

“In building a team ourselves, we know what teams need to launch and become successful,” Bentley says. “We specifically created a brokerage where teams will find value and support. And now, it attracts other teams to see the benefit of being part of our brokerage and still remaining as their unique team, which is sometimes a hard balance to strike.”

He continues, “We have a ‘rising tides will lift all boats’ mentality and we’re all working together to move everybody to peak performance. Aligning with RE/MAX will only lift us higher.”
