The fresh start of 2021 has real estate agents buzzing with excitement for conducting business and helping people buy and sell their homes. Eager to assist others in times of uncertainty, it’s no surprise that RE/MAX agents are setting ambitious objectives for the new year.

Here are the goals top-producing members of the RE/MAX network are setting for themselves in 2021 and their best advice for achieving them.

Meet with Clients Every Day

“My goal for 2021 is to personally help 50 sellers and 25 buyers, while also helping my team achieve their own individual goals,” shares Elizabeth Velasco, a RE/MAX Diamond Club member and agent with RE/MAX Gold in Sacramento, California.

“As a Team Leader of the Velasco Team at RE/MAX Gold, I lead by example. My simple focus is to have one appointment per day, whether it’s a listing consultation, buyer consultation or property showing. These appointments are the best use of time that generate sales.”

Earn Membership into Diamond Club

“$1 million in gross commission and achieving Diamond Club status is my goal this year,” says Shawn Cunningham, a RE/MAX Titan Club member and agent with RE/MAX Advantage in Nevada.

“My advice is to scrub your database from top to bottom and focus more money and resources on being the first Realtor your clients think about,” Cunningham says. “Help them refer, help them be informed and provide them useful information that they would want to share in their social media spheres.”

Focus on Relationships and Education

“My main goal for 2021 is to remain learning-based and in constant conversation – that is where great opportunities are discovered,” says Christopher Hubbard, a RE/MAX Chairman’s Club member and owner of RE/MAX City Square in New York.

“I strive to leverage the tools and technology that help me stay consistently organized and keep me efficient in communication. Since technology and the standards of real estate are always changing, it’s important for me to adapt and get uncomfortable in my personal and business growth,” Hubbard says. “Creating systems and processes that produce reliable, predictable results has allowed me to scale my business and prioritize how I choose to reinvest my time.”

In the year ahead, Hubbard is set to focus on the relationships that support him and his business, specifically with business partners and other members of the RE/MAX network.

“In 2020, I had amazing success with a campaign aimed at motivated sellers. My focus for 2021 is to expand that campaign into other markets for massive growth. This will require me to measure my results against set benchmarks and keep building relationships and creating opportunities through conversation,” he explains. “I’m looking forward to leveraging the RE/MAX network for continued development and support.”

Help 200 Families and Increase Online Reviews

“My goals for 2021 include growing our team by hiring a few more Buyers Agents, and to reach $50,000,000 in real estate sales by helping at least 200 families throughout the year,” shares Michele Harmon, a Diamond Club team member and agent with RE/MAX Vintage in Texas. “I also want to increase our online reviews. We currently have 275 reviews on Zillow and I would like to get that to 300.”

She emphasizes that her office plans on continuing the local scholarships they support and are planning to give back more to their local community.

“My best advice for achieving goals is to time block, follow up with potential clients until they tell you they are not interested, and track every sale until you hit your goal. Also, stay in touch with past clients and make sure they remember you when it is time to buy or sell again. And for giving back, make sure to budget in advance for scholarships and community involvement.”
