The holiday season is a time to express gratitude, spread cheer, act with heart and help those in need. RE/MAX agents know this well.
In fact, many RE/MAX affiliates – who dedicate their lives to supporting their communities – ramp up their compassionate efforts when December nears, and find creative ways to give back locally.
Here’s a sampling of what the RE/MAX network is up to this holiday season:

Michael Binckes of RE/MAX Cayman Islands
Michael Binckes, an agent with RE/MAX Cayman Islands, is hosting his second annual 12 Days of Christmas campaign to support 12 local charities and organizations on the island. This year, he’ll be giving back to efforts like Meals on Wheels, One Dog at a Time and Inclusion Cayman, as well as local police and fire departments.

The Clinton Howell Team of RE/MAX Escarpment Realty in Burlington, Ontario, held its third annual holiday dinner and toy drive – and the outcome of their efforts will bring joy to many. They collected more than 100 toys for Burlington Dads Christmas Toy Drive, which will provide The Salvation Army of Burlington with gifts for families in need.

RE/MAX Big Bear 2024 coat giveaway
In a mountainous region of Southern California, RE/MAX Big Bear hosted their 20th annual Coats for the Community event where they gave away nearly 1,800 new winter jackets. Simeon and Dana Prophet, the brokerage owners, sourced and funded the outerwear, and the agents in their office were onsite to help members of the community find the best fit.

RE/MAX All Pro Realty in Trail and Rossland, British Columbia, is also on a mission to make the holidays special for kids this year. The brokerage hosted its 9th annual Christmas Toy Drive and is donating toys to The Salvation Army, United Way and local schools.

Three agents with RE/MAX Broadwater in Wheeling, West Virginia – Briana Liddle, Ashlee Malechowski and Garrison Wolfe – hosted their Christmas in the Valley event to purchase and deliver gifts to families in need. They gathered applications, collected gift wish lists, secured donations from community members, bought the presents and got them to the recipients.

RE/MAX Experience in Sioux City, Iowa, hosted their second annual holiday movie series. On three separate occasions in December, the brokerage invited the community to watch a holiday movie – favorites like Elf, The Grinch and The Polar Express – at a local theater. Plus, they brought Santa Claus in for photo sessions. A portion of the proceeds benefited the Sunnybrook Hope Center, a local food and personal product pantry.

breck_lydens
Breck Lydens, an agent with RE/MAX West in Whitehall, Michigan, hosted a Pet Photos With Santa event to benefit Big Lake Humane Society. During the gathering, pets had their photos taken with Santa Claus and pet owners received free digital copies. Plus, there was an onsite adoption event for furry friends to find a new forever home during the holidays.

Employees at RE/MAX World Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, gathered to create holiday cards for patients of Children’s Hospital Colorado, an affiliate of Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.
CMN Hospitals is a cause close to the heart for RE/MAX. Since 1992, RE/MAX agents have donated nearly $210 million to CMN Hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. Through efforts like the RE/MAX Miracle Home and Miracle Property Program, RE/MAX Month of Miracles and more, members of the RE/MAX network help support the health of 12 million kids each year.
RE/MAX affiliates make a difference in the lives of others all year round, and the holiday season is surely no exception. As 2024 draws to a close, the initiatives shared above are a reminder of the importance of being good neighbors and supporting the community.
