Throughout August – the annual RE/MAX Month of Miracles – RE/MAX affiliates found all sorts of creative ways to support Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.

The relationship with CMN Hospitals is a big part of RE/MAX culture. Since 1992, RE/MAX agents have donated nearly $210 million to CMN Hospitals across the U.S. and Canada – supporting the health of 12 million kids each year. And when RE/MAX affiliates donate to the cause, their contributions stay local and benefit the affiliate CMN Hospitals location closest to them.

A sampling of efforts during the 2024 Month of Miracles:

Hosting community events

In Arizona, RE/MAX Professionals locations hosted five inventive events to benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Tucson Medical Center. The happenings included a salsa making competition, a game of “left, right, center,” a comedy night, a blood drive, and their annual potluck. The evening of comedy – dubbed Comedy for a Cause – alone raised more than $25,000.

Kat Whisler with RE/MAX The Collective in Yakama, Washington, teamed up with a local home loan business to co-host a “Shaved Ice Social” and collect donations for her local CMN Hospitals location.

RE/MAX hot air balloon

For the third straight year, RE/MAX Plus in Buffalo, New York, participated in “Sunflowers of Sanborn,” offering tethered RE/MAX hot air balloon rides to benefit Oishei Children’s Hospital.

RE/MAX River City in Edmonton, Alberta, partook in “Stollery Lemonade Stand Day” where they set up lemonade stands, operated by agents and their families, across the metro area. Proceeds from the lemonade sales were donated to Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

RE/MAX Real Estate Partners in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, hosted “Taco Tuesday Bingo Night for the Kids” at a local restaurant, with all bingo proceeds donated to the local CMN Hospitals affiliate.

At RE/MAX Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, employees collected art supplies for kids being treated at nearby CMN Hospitals locations. They also got crafty by hand-weaving blankets for young patients.

All 10 RE/MAX Suburban locations across Illinois hosted the second annual “Crayons for Kids” drive, collecting hundreds of art supplies items to benefit children being treated at Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Leveraging real estate – and the RE/MAX Miracle Home and Miracle Property Program

Traci Palmero with RE/MAX Best Choice in Festus, Missouri, donated $100 for every group who came to an open house for one of her listings during the month.

And her support for CMN Hospitals extends well beyond August. Palmero is a RE/MAX Miracle Agent, which means she donates a portion of her commission to CMN Hospitals after each closed transaction. She’s one of many of RE/MAX agents who hold this title and participate in the RE/MAX Miracle Home and Miracle Property Program.

Thea Hanson with RE/MAX All Pro Realty in Trail, British Columbia, is a Miracle Agent, too – and during August, she increased her donation amount by $50 per transaction.

Sparrow Foundation

Some offices are Miracle Offices, meaning they donate collectively and continually. For example, RE/MAX Real Estate Professionals, a Miracle Office in Dewitt, Michigan, donated $3,780 to the Sparrow Foundation, the local CMN Hospitals affiliate, during the Month of Miracles.

The spirit of giving lasts all year in the RE/MAX network. This fall, many affiliates will take part in the 2024 Global RE/MAX Week, an annual, worldwide celebration of community involvement, taking place October 6-12.
