The eighth annual Swanepoel Power 200 (SP 200) recognized two RE/MAX executives and eight influential RE/MAX leaders on its prestigious list. With RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos at the helm, the global real estate franchisor – with a presence in more than 110 countries and territories – had a year of strategic acquisitions and agent growth in 2020. Ranking on the list at No. 9, Contos was included as one of the 10 most powerful people in residential real estate, in only his third year as RE/MAX Holdings CEO.

RE/MAX Chief Customer Officer Nick Bailey made the list coming in at No. 36, up from No. 82 in 2020. Overseeing all support services provided by RE/MAX to its expansive network of franchisees and affiliates, Bailey and the executive leadership team implemented measures in the network and at headquarters to solidify the RE/MAX footing during the COVID-19 crisis to remain in a position of strength.

According to the Real Estate Almanac, when it comes to being selected for inclusion in the SP200, “the process starts with some 3,000 executives and involves a mix of quantitative and qualitative assessments,” which include a review of recent growth and developments at their organization.

The strong RE/MAX presence at the corporate, affiliate and regional levels is a testament to the resiliency of the brand and the unique ability of RE/MAX affiliates to navigate any market conditions.

“The presence of so many RE/MAX leaders on this list speaks volumes about the quality of our network. We’re a modern organization of industry leaders who raise the bar and get things done, and all of the RE/MAX giants being honored have a massive impact on their agents and communities,” Contos said. “RE/MAX is built on the ethos of being a business that builds businesses – and this news is just another reminder that we’re stronger than ever.”
