The red, white and blue of the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon recently came to mean “Thank you!”

As a part of the Lifting Spirits Around the World global event, the iconic balloon took flight to honor frontline workers tirelessly working to keep communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For two days, starting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Oct. 3, hot air balloons launched throughout the day in over 25 U.S. states, as well as six other countries. The RE/MAX Balloon could be seen soaring across multiple cities in a nod to everyone working the front lines, from teachers and servers to doctors and bus drivers.

The event made a splash across social media as people used the hashtag #LiftingSpirits to share photos and videos of ascending hot air balloons, adding a bit of color and joy to feeds.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, RE/MAX affiliates and offices have found unique ways to support frontline workers, including delivering free meals and making Wi-Fi accessible.

In an industry that helps families find safe places to call home, RE/MAX acknowledges and thanks frontline workers for their contributions to the well-being of their local communities.
