How did you get into the real estate industry?
I have always had an entrepreneurial mindset and loved being my own boss. I saw the limitless opportunities in real estate.
What originally attracted you to the RE/MAX brand?
RE/MAX® is known to be a home of the top producers and I knew their associates have the ability to build a business their own way without the corporate approach of some other brokerages.
How would you describe the support you experienced when opening your RE/MAX office?
Amazing. In 2010, I took an existing office that was having problems due to the challenging market of the time, and with guidance from RE/MAX, LLC, changed the culture and brought in some fresh air.
How did the market respond to your move to RE/MAX?
In 2008, RE/MAX market share in my area was not what it is today. But I saw potential with the RE/MAX tools and network, and brought those resources to the forefront. That has made quite the impact in my business.
How much has your brokerage grown since aligning with RE/MAX? What has contributed to this growth?
I took over a struggling office and organically grew our agent count. Experience and knowing what I wanted contributed to this growth. We know we want to attract people that want to align with top producers. I used my experience, and incorporated what I thought was good from my previous company and what I think is good from RE/MAX, and melded the two into a robust business.
What are some of your professional goals and how is RE/MAX helping you achieve them?
RE/MAX is helping me help enhance my agents’ lives. Some of my agents have recently joined RE/MAX from other companies and, with the business building tools RE/MAX has, I have been able to help them get to the next level of their business.
What tools and resources provided by RE/MAX do you and your agents find to be the most valuable?
I think one of the biggest resources that my agents take advantage of is the referral opportunities with RE/MAX. This has opened the door of opportunity for some of my agents. As far as tools go, Megaphone has been a game-changer for some of my agents’ social media marketing initiatives.
What do you think today’s agent finds the most valuable when considering which brokerage to join and how do you ensure your office offers that value?
I think one of the most valuable assets is what originally attracted to me to RE/MAX so long ago: The ability to build a business my way with one of the most reputable brand in the industry.
