Look Inside Former President Ronald Reagan’s Previous California Residence

From the mid-1960’s to the mid-1970’s, Former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and his wife Nancy rented a nearly 7,000 square-foot estate for the majority of his time serving as Governor of California before his first presidential term. In the past week, the historic home hit the market for the first time in more than 22 years.

Kim Pacini-Hauch, an agent with RE/MAX Gold in the Sacramento Sierra Oaks office, holds the listing for the renowned residence, which is currently priced at $4.995 million dollars.

“If these walls could talk!” Pacini-Hauch says.

Nestled in the famous East Sacramento “Fabulous Forties” neighborhood, the English Tudor-style home has since been dubbed the “Reagan Mansion.” Although it’s undergone significant renovations, the sellers stayed true to the home’s original architecture with leaded glass widows, hardwood flooring, arched doorways, intricate millwork, crown molding and more.

Though he was originally from Illinois, Reagan ventured to Sacramento in the early phase of his political career and proceeded to hop from east coast to west coast in his later years of life. The “Reagan Mansion,” however, is among his most notable residences to date.
