How to Shape Your Mindset With One Simple Question

Adam recently found his newest win as he completed his upcoming book, “Start With a Win: Tools and Lessons to Create Personal and Business Success,” being released on October 19. But what was the journey like that led him to completion?

On this week’s episode of the Start With a Win podcast, Adam joins Producer Mark to break down the bits and pieces of advice from his own lived experience as well as the new book.

There’s one question Adam has for everyone: How do you start your day with a win?

With his experience leading RE/MAX Holdings, Adam is an expert on motivational encouragement and pragmatic tips to help people start their days, run their businesses and conquer personal goals. In sharing these, he provides new perspectives on age-old business concepts.

“Without the proper attitude, it becomes incredibly difficult to seek out and overcome challenges,” Adam says.

“Without the right attitude, you’re not going to do anything. You’re not going to accomplish anything. You’re going to find a way around it or you’re going to find a way to deny, decline [and] avoid whatever it is that shows up in front of you.”

He advises getting ahead of challenges rather than waiting for them to arise.

“The reality is, if we don’t go out and seek out challenges, we don’t get victories. And those victories power us, and they educate us, and they inspire us, and they help those around us to do even better,” he says.

Adam asks himself three additional key questions when he wakes up in the morning – and advises listeners to do the same:

1. What is the challenge I will face today? 2. What is the necessary attitude to get started? 3. What action or actions are necessary to overcome the challenge?

Seeking micro-wins is his first step to overcoming these daily challenges. After all, it’s small actions that gain traction and build momentum.
