RE/MAX affiliates are champions of their communities all year round – helping people achieve real estate dreams, partaking in charitable initiatives, and being neighbors who lend a helping hand. But for one particular week in October, they band together to make an even bigger impact.

Global RE/MAX Week is the annual celebration of the communities in which RE/MAX agents live and work. During the multi-day event, RE/MAX agents, teams and offices around the world find impactful ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

The 2024 Global RE/MAX Week is October 6-12.

“Global RE/MAX Week reflects the caring nature of the RE/MAX network. Our collective impact becomes especially prominent that week. It’s amazing to see so many RE/MAX affiliates sharing ideas, taking action, inspiring each other and finding creative ways to help their communities,” says Shawna Gilbert, RE/MAX Senior Vice President of Global and Commercial. “RE/MAX has a presence in more than 110 countries and territories, so the brand’s positive influence is truly worldwide – especially during this incredible week.”

This year marks the fourth annual event. Global RE/MAX Week began in 2021 as Global RE/MAX Day, and a year later expanded to a full week due to an outpouring of excitement and participation.

Last year, RE/MAX affiliates found a wide variety of dynamic ways to donate their time and resources. A sampling of what they did:

Assembled food packages
Collected essential goods for animal shelters
Cleaned up outdoor public spaces
Gathered school supplies for students in need
Hosted coat drives to keep people warm in the winter months
Donated blood to help save lives
& so much more!

Lori Goats, who leads the Lori Goats Real Estate Team with RE/MAX One in Beaumont, Texas, is one of the many affiliates looking forward to the network-wide effort.

“Last year, we participated in Global RE/MAX Week by sending care packages to active military members from our area. We used social media to identify those who would benefit from a package – and we got a great response. We received so many letters of gratitude, and it gave us a greater awareness of the challenges military members have while serving our country,” Goats says.

“We’re looking forward to Global RE/MAX week again this year! Community involvement has always been important to me – I like to say we make a living while making a difference. In fact, I donate to one of three organizations each time I close a transaction – and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, of course, is one of them.”

One way that many RE/MAX affiliates in the U.S. and Canada get involved with Global RE/MAX Week is by supporting their local affiliate CMN Hospital and donating money or providing support to patients and their families. Since 1992, RE/MAX Associates have donated more than $209 million to CMN Hospitals, which raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals that support the health of 10 million kids each year across the U.S. and Canada. Lots of Global RE/MAX Week participants share their activities on social media using the hashtag #GlobalREMAXWeek. This October, that hashtag will surely get plenty of use once again.
