Global RE/MAX Week 2023: Giving Back Around the World

Helping real estate consumers achieve their goals is far from the only way RE/MAX affiliates support their communities. All year round, RE/MAX affiliates, teams and brokerages give back through acts of service and fundraising for important causes.

Global RE/MAX Week is a focused celebration of those charitable efforts. During the annual weeklong event, RE/MAX affiliates agents, teams and offices find impactful ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

The 2023 Global RE/MAX Week is October 1-7.

“Since its inception in 2021, Global RE/MAX Week has become an important tradition throughout the RE/MAX network. It truly represents what RE/MAX is all about: helping others,” says Shawna Gilbert, Senior Vice President of RE/MAX Global and Commercial. “It’s a worldwide occasion. RE/MAX is a global brand with a presence in more than 110 countries and territories – and the caring nature of our affiliates is universal.”

During the 2022 Global RE/MAX Week, members of the network volunteered with animal rescue organizations, collected school supplies for students, provided food for those in need, cleaned up public outdoor spaces, supported local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital affiliates, and even taught fitness classes for senior citizens.

“We are passionate about helping people, especially those who are less fortunate. That’s why we chose to participate in Global RE/MAX Week and give back to our community,” says David Ladner, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Harmony in Wakefield, Massachusetts, who organized his office assembling meal bags for My Brother’s Table, a local soup kitchen, during the 2022 Global RE/MAX Week.

Opportunities with CMN Hospitals for U.S. and Canada affiliates

This year, CMN Hospitals, the longtime charitable partner of RE/MAX, is joining Global RE/MAX Week by providing opportunities for RE/MAX affiliates in the U.S. and Canada to support local children’s hospitals. Many RE/MAX affiliates already support CMN Hospitals year-round through the RE/MAX Miracle Home and Miracle Property Program, which enables agents to donate to their local affiliate hospital with each closed transaction.

RE/MAX affiliates in the U.S. and Canada can get in touch with their local CMN Hospital affiliate to find out ways they can get involved, which could include hosting a fundraiser or toy drive, helping make blankets for patients, attending a blood drive, and more.

Giving back to CMN Hospitals is a mainstay for many RE/MAX affiliates. Since 1992, RE/MAX Associates have donated nearly $200 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals that support the health of 10 million kids each year across the U.S. and Canada.

“Our office holds the RE/MAX relationship with CMN Hospitals in the highest regard… We love where we live and work, so it’s fantastic that our donations go to our local hospital helping our neighborhood kids receive the top-tier care they deserve,” shares Patrick Feldpausch, Co-Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Real Estate Professionals in Dewitt, Michigan, a Miracle Office.

Fellow Co-Broker/Owner Michael Williams adds, “[CMN Hospitals] is a massive part of our RE/MAX Real Estate Professionals culture and will continue to be so for many years to come.”

For the 2022 Global RE/MAX Week, Feldpausch and Williams organized an office toy drive to benefit their local CMN Hospital affiliate.

“Global RE/MAX Week is a great opportunity for all RE/MAX affiliates to band together and show our communities that we are thoughtfully present,” Feldpausch says. “It was absolutely amazing last year to see the joy and generosity as the toys were pouring in.”

From Uganda to Puerto Rico to Japan to Canada – and nearly everywhere in between – RE/MAX affiliates around the globe take part in the annual weeklong event. Many of them share their activities on social media using the hashtag #GlobalREMAXWeek.

This October, that hashtag will get plenty of use, as RE/MAX affiliates once again step up and make a huge difference in the lives of others.
