To sum up Brad Inman’s appearance on “Good Morning RE/MAX”: Real estate agents are essential, tech isn’t always all it’s cracked up to be and now is the time to prove integrity wins above all else.
Discussing the current market on “Good Morning RE/MAX,” the founder and owner of Inman News took turns initiating banter with RE/MAX Chief Customer Officer Nick Bailey as they tackled tough topics, including white flight – “I hope we don’t repeat white flight, it’s a terrible part of our history in this country,” Inman said when asked about people moving from cities to suburbs – and the adoption of technology in real estate.
Inman, a longtime proponent of technology for the real estate industry, said that if tech is discouraging consumers, agents need to move in another direction.
“It’s time that we really focus on what’s important,” he said. “And if what we really believe is important is people relationships, then what in the heck are we doing wasting our time with these noisy distractions, these useless technologies, and then saying, ‘Oh, I got all the latest toys.’ That’s not what technology is about. Technology’s about enabling us to make human connections.”
“I don’t know if people know I love RE/MAX. Guess who were the first people to be readers of Inman News? It was RE/MAX agents because they were the most productive, the most technology adept. They were the best agents around.”

Calling Realtors the protectors of consumers, he stressed that now more than ever character matters, especially because the real estate industry – and specifically the real estate agent – has never been more needed.
“Integrity is everything,” he said. “Whatever you do, do it with integrity. People need agents, and now is the time to shine.”
