Just days after securityholders of REMAX Holdings and The Real Brokerage approved Real’s proposed acquisition of REMAX, more than 1,000 attendees at the 2026 REMAX Broker Owner Conference (BOC) packed a standing-room-only hall on Monday to hear more about what’s ahead.
“Obviously, the transaction with Real is front and center for everyone right now,” RE/MAX Holdings CEO Erik Carlson told the crowd. “This is an extraordinary moment for the REMAX brand and this incredible network – one with tremendous opportunities and positive implications for every REMAX affiliate.”
With the reminder that the transaction hasn’t closed yet and the companies continue to operate independently, Carlson invited Real Chairman and CEO Tamir Poleg to join him on stage and share some thoughts.
“You all built the most amazing real estate brand in the world, and we will be very careful not to take anything away from it. We want to enhance it. We want the next chapter to be about growth,” Poleg told the audience. “We are committed to helping you grow.”
The Real team, Poleg added, understands the issues involved in running a real estate brokerage.
“We know your business. We know how to operate a brokerage and the challenges you face,” Poleg said. “We want to bring you tools that make a difference, strengthen the REMAX value proposition and help you attract more agents and grow your business.”
Poleg noted that both organizations share a primary goal: helping real estate agents be as productive and successful as possible. In fact, he added, that’s been the main objective since he launched Real in 2014.
“On top of the door we put up a sign that said, ‘Always find ways to make agents’ lives better.’ And that north star has not changed since day one,” Poleg said. “As we think about building resources for agents, we always think about that simple mantra.”
After the transaction closes, the REMAX and Real brands will retain their distinct identities, Poleg said, but both will benefit from being under the same ownership. For REMAX brokerages and agents, that means they will gain access to the world-class, in-house technology that has helped Real become one of the industry’s fastest growing platforms. But, as Poleg made clear, it will be the Broker/Owners’ choice.
“We want to take everything that is working on the Real side, all of that technology, all of that data proposition, and put it in your hands,” he told the REMAX Broker/Owners. “If you’re interested, we’re willing to give you those systems so that you can operate your business more efficiently.”
Ultimately, Poleg asked the Broker/Owners for their trust through the closing and transition.
“I want our interests to be aligned. I just ask you to give us a chance so that we can prove we’re the best partners you could ask for,” he said.
Winning More Listings
The Opening General Session also highlighted the many innovative products, services and solutions REMAX has launched or advanced in the past year. Together, the offerings are designed to help agents win more listings, operate more efficiently, market properties more effectively and connect with more consumers.
The long list includes relationships with Zillow and Realtor.com, AI staging, REMAX HomeView, Master Pitch, SkyView, REMAX Marketing Studio, Canva, Easy Reviews and much more.
“(In 2026), we didn’t just talk about innovation. We brought it to the network from every direction,” said Travis Saxton, Executive Vice President of Strategy. “The goal was to give agents practical ways to stand out, save valuable time and build stronger businesses, all while making REMAX easier to work with.”
Saxton and REMAX President Chris Lim also showcased the launch of REMAX Golf Lifestyles, which helps agents connect with potential buyers and sellers of golf community homes. The program recently secured a visibility-raising partnership with Golfweek and welcomed the opening of the first brokerage associated with REMAX Golf Lifestyles.
Turning Attention into Opportunity
REMAX Chief Marketing Officer Abby Lee and Senior Vice President James Schwartz then took the stage to show how supercharged digital marketing is turning consumer attention into opportunities for REMAX agents.
“The message we want all of you to hear and remember is simple: more consumers, more opportunities, more solutions – all built for you,” Lee said. “The brand provides instant credibility to you and your agents – and they bring it to life.”
That work starts with the reimagined remax.com and remax.ca, which now offer cleaner, mobile-first experiences that make it easier for consumers to search listings and connect with agents. The websites attract more than 121 million combined annual visits and feature more than 600,000 global listings, with over 900,000 users visiting monthly from outside the U.S.
Schwartz noted that it’s been a busy, fast-paced year for REMAX.
“To me, the year hasn’t been about products, platforms, or programs. It’s been about impact – and focusing our solutions on outcomes that matter most,” Schwartz said. “It’s been about the power of the REMAX brand, the strength of this network, and the many ways we are turning consumer demand into more opportunities for REMAX agents and Broker/Owners.”
