On this week’s episode of Start With a Win, RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos sits down with four RE/MAX Socialites – real estate agents with social media expertise – to uncover their tips, tricks and best-kept secrets for finding success on social media.

Meet the RE/MAX Socialites featured in this special episode, recorded at the 2020 RE/MAX R4 convention in February

Heather Holliday, a Technology and Marketing Coach with RE/MAX Elite in Florida, has been with RE/MAX for 15 years and uses her teaching background to help real estate agents determine which platforms work best for their interests and business. She recommends setting frequent goals and breaking down social media tasks into “bite-sized pieces” in order to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Michele Bellisari, an agent with RE/MAX Services in Florida, reveals that she embraces social media for two reasons: It’s free and it’s an amazing way to brand a business. She explains how social media can expand an agent’s visibility and suggests agents join hyper-local groups on Facebook to engage in the niche interests of locals.

Rebecca Steinhouse, the Director of Marketing for RE/MAX Services in Florida, prefers a hands-on approach when it comes to agents learning more about social media platforms. Noting that every level of social media user can always learn new tricks, she shares her best advice: check social media frequently and put in the time to curate a page that’s reflective of both personal aspects and business.

Inmar Barrera, an agent with RE/MAX Diamond in California, also believes in mixing personal life and business on social media. Barrera shares that, while nerve-wracking, video content is a fluid way to connect with people.  Start by gathering questions consumers have about real estate, he says, and answer them on camera. His motto for overcoming video insecurity? “Done is better than perfect.”
