Referring to 2020 as a year “that allowed people to visit their deepest waters,” coach Jon Cheplak says looking at one’s dramas and traumas can drive future growth.
That’s because every person and experience serves as a teacher, he tells RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos on this episode of the Start With a Win podcast, and there are truly only two human emotions: love and fear.
Together, the two friends dig deep as they discuss personal development and the process of change, which Jon calls a matter of pain tolerance.
If there’s one change to be made this year, it’s to challenge oneself to become a whole human being – personally and professionally.
“It doesn’t matter where you’re going to go if you don’t take care of your being,” Jon says, stressing the importance of being whole in one’s experiences, wellness, business and more.
Seek out people who are doing more, he advises, and control only what’s controllable. In the end, everything comes back to the human experience.
