RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos moved up two spots from last year’s listing, ranking at number 6 for 2020. In his second year as CEO, Contos has chosen business pursuits that fortify the brand’s reputation as an industry leader, most notably with the rollout of the booj Platform and the purchase of data science startup First.

Also on the list are RE/MAX Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff Serene Smith and RE/MAX Chief Customer Officer Nick Bailey. Smith has played an integral role in developing the brand’s corporate strategy and serving as key adviser for the initiatives that played into 2019’s successes. Bailey joined the RE/MAX executive leadership team in September and leads business growth, brokerage support, franchise sales, and a number of other high-powered initiatives supporting the network’s recruiting and retention efforts.

According to the Real Estate Almanac, “the annual analysis of the residential real estate industry’s most important players examines which companies are gaining traction, which brands are growing, which leaders took the decisions that shaped the year, which technology providers are delivering, and which Realtor associations and MLSes have the most members and subscribers.” The strong RE/MAX presence is a testament to the extraordinary leadership throughout the network.
