Throughout the past year, REMAX has committed significant time, effort and investment into data and AI capabilities. That makes the year ahead especially exciting.
“REMAX is poised like a rocket ship. We’re about to take off,” said Travis Saxton, REMAX EVP of Strategy, at Wednesday’s R4 general session in Las Vegas.
Echoing CEO Erik Carlson’s philosophy of “people, process, technology,” Saxton said the September addition of the right person – Tom Flanagan, REMAX Chief Digital Information Officer – made a significant impact. His arrival accelerated the process that led to a bold data agreement with Constellation Data Labs earlier this year.
The Constellation arrangement has helped REMAX aggregate MLS data, streamline data integrity and bring more speed to its products.
“We’ve been building an AI-first foundation and data infrastructure. These moves have set us up for a stronger future, and they continue to enhance our pace of play,” Saxton said.
With people and process covered, it’s now time to develop and unleash new technology. And Saxton has ambitious plans for that. He and his team have launched or are actively working on 14 major AI initiatives that will serve REMAX agents and their clients.
The list includes REMAX Marketing Studio (an evolution of the Marketing as a Service platform), generative AI videos, the MAX AI virtual assistant, the MAXRefer global referral platform and more.
“We had to adapt,” Saxton said. “We had to adjust to the new needs of consumers and agents.”
Example: Consumer and agent needs are being addressed by recent and/or upcoming upgrades to the network’s flagship websites, remax.com and remax.ca – as well as to the BoldTrail office, team and agent sites offered at no additional cost to all REMAX Affiliates in the U.S. and Canada. Website enhancements such as Home Search AI and AI Staging and Room Design aim to provide more value to consumers while increasing the stickiness of the sites.
It’s all tied to a prime REMAX objective: helping agents win more listings, save more time and build their businesses. And, combined with the industry-leading productivity of REMAX agents, it creates limitless opportunity and a clear competitive advantage.
Saxton credits the affiliate-driven Innovation Groups that were formed last year for steering many of the initiatives.
“Their involvement makes this even more exciting,” he said. “They asked for this – and we delivered.”
Even after a year of warp-speed activity, Saxton sees the pace accelerating even more.
“This is the future of REMAX, the future of real estate,” he said. “And we’re excited to be leading the charge, leading from the front. Just wait til you see what we have in store next.”
