In a competitive industry like real estate, the team structure can present an opportunity for talented agents to band together and enjoy the benefits of scale, creating an effective business powerhouse in local markets. A recent independent survey put the productivity of RE/MAX teams on full display – reinforcing the fact that teams can thrive at RE/MAX.

According to the 2022 RealTrends + Tom Ferry “America’s Best Real Estate Professionals” list, RE/MAX teams in the small, medium and large categories posted the highest average number of transaction sides per team member of any qualifying real estate brand with at least 150 team rankings in America’s Best.

The RE/MAX teams in the 2022 survey averaged 26.6 transaction sides per agent*, easily surpassing the overall average of 18.8 sides per agent for all teams included on the list. Among national brands in the survey, that mark was nearly 20% higher than the closest competitor at 22.5 sides per agent. In the medium team category, with six to 10 members, the gap between RE/MAX teams and the other national brands was even wider*. The RE/MAX average of 24.8 sides per member was over 30% higher than the second-place brand’s average of 18.4.

The results of the survey confirmed the advantages teams enjoy at RE/MAX.

“With a globally recognized brand name, support from their local Broker/Owners and access to premier resources, teams can thrive at RE/MAX,” says Nick Bailey, RE/MAX, LLC President and CEO. “The RE/MAX network has a strong culture of productivity, and teams really benefit from that – especially when they grow to six or more members.”

Here are a few ways teams are supported when aligned with the RE/MAX network, the most productive real estate network in the world as measured by residential transaction sides.

Education and collaboration

Ongoing education opportunities are cornerstone components of the brand’s commitment to excellence. Teams can take advantage of the latest resources through online learning hub RE/MAX University.

“RE/MAX teams enjoy top-notch support that helps them achieve – and exceed – their business goals,” says Amy Lessinger, RE/MAX Senior Vice President of Region Development.

A program specifically for RE/MAX affiliates, “RealTeams Solution powered by Workman Success Systems” includes the resources an agent would need to start a team – or that a team leader would need to help grow a team. The program is available through RE/MAX University.

Additionally, RE/MAX University boasts courses and webinars covering timely subjects pertaining to business, marketing, social media and more, and tracks performance with progress charts and goal setting. The innovative platform leverages artificial intelligence to create customized learning plans based on each agent’s unique needs.

Industry-leading events

With RE/MAX, teams can also attend a multitude of in-person brand events catered toward business growth and networking.

One example is the Teams Mastermind Road Show, a series of in-person events designed to teach affiliates and their guests how joining, creating or growing a team could increase business. The road show is being hosted in cities across the U.S.

And each December, team leaders and members – as well as individual agents considering a team – share ideas and knowledge at the annual Ultimate RE/MAX Teams Event.

Marketing materials

Affiliates often cite the ability to leverage a renowned and time-backed brand name in their personal marketing as a reason to align with RE/MAX. With a presence in more than 110 countries and territories, RE/MAX is recognized by consumers around the world.

In addition to including team logos and branding on RE/MAX yard signs, agents and teams throughout the RE/MAX network can also use marketing tools like Megaphone, a RE/MAX exclusive platform that streamlines the creative process for real estate professionals by offering customizable branded templates, social graphics and more. Gary Ashton and Debra Beagle, both of The Ashton Real Estate Group of RE/MAX Advantage in Tennessee, have previously cited Megaphone as a convenient way for their team members to maintain professionalism in marketing practices while saving time. The Ashton Real Estate Group is the No. 1 RE/MAX team worldwide and has over 180 members.

In 2021, the successful Nashville-based team surpassed $1B in total sales volume and continues to dominate their local market.

“If agents have ever thought of starting or joining a team, now is the time to take a leap and build the foundation for collective growth,” Lessinger says.
