How did you get into real estate?

Growing up, my mom was a very well-respected real estate broker in Massachusetts. She would bring me with her to the office when I was little and I was fascinated by the real estate process. Decades later, after wearing hats in the film industry and in politics, I returned to real estate as an agent, then team leader for five years, and then Broker and Owner of the company.

What originally attracted you to the RE/MAX brand?

The international presence and knowing that it is a brand that supports creating one’s own destiny and rewards deviating from the status quo.

How would you describe the support you experienced when opening your RE/MAX office?

Top of the line. Regional support reps helped me through it seamlessly, and the Brokers and managers that had worked with me during the five years I was a team leader were constantly there to offer their guidance and support, as they had all along.

How much has your brokerage grown with RE/MAX? What has contributed to this growth?

Our brokerage has had consistent growth over the last several years, both in its volume and in its operations. There is no secret – much of this growth has been through very hard work on behalf of the agents, our managers, our admins, and myself. We have some of the hardest working folks in the business at RE/MAX Partners Relocation, and the folks that work here truly believe in the mindset that there is no such thing as a day off because they love doing what they do.

What are some of your professional goals and how is RE/MAX helping you achieve them?

[My goal is] to run a diverse, governance and eco minded company, that is strategic and transparent, which ultimately provides the highest service level to its partners, clients, and customers. RE/MAX has laid down the basic foundation for our company to build this – and anyone in real estate will tell you that nothing is more important than having a steady foundation.

What tools and resources provided by RE/MAX do you and your agents find to be the most valuable?

It’s really the corporate support staff that are there when my wonderful office manager and project and administrative managers need them.

What do you think today’s agents find the most valuable when considering which brokerage to join?

I think it’s all about the experience. There are many companies that just want a piece of the agent’s pie and offer little in return, and other companies that are so enamored with their technology that they forget that this business is about the human experience, the relationships that come out of it, and the ambitious goals that our hard work helps our partners, customers and clients achieve.
