It’s been a busy Month of Miracles, with RE/MAX Affiliates across the U.S. and Canada bringing awareness to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and reaffirming their support of local communities via 170 member hospitals.
Take a look at a sampling of the amazing work RE/MAX Affiliates have done this month and remember to keep the spirit and support going all year round.
It’s easy to support CMN Hospitals without making a huge change. In fact, when asked “How do you support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals?” on ABOVE, 100% of Affiliates said they donate after every transaction. Small efforts can have a big impact on the children treated at local member hospitals.
$32,000 in One Night!
Associate Marita Corkill of RE/MAX Space Center in League City, Texas, knows how to organize a great event. Over the past two years as chair of the brokerage’s CMN Hospitals fundraiser, Corkill has gone above and beyond. Last year the group hosted a fundraiser that took foodies to three local fine dining restaurants and raised $38,000. This year, the group hosted a FantaSea yacht party with a three-course meal, great music and a wide range of auction items. All told, more than $32,000 was raised.

New Equipment
Jeremy Blanton of RE/MAX Southern Shores in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has a long history with supporting CMN Hospitals. This year, the brokerage raised enough money to help a localCMN Hospital purchase a state-of-the-art monitor for the NICU, and Blanton was there as it was commemorated with a plaque during Month of Miracles. The monitor will allow the staff to instantly identify issues like heart rate, oxygen levels and blood sugar levels for the premature babies treated there every day.
Raffle Raises Big Money
The Affiliates at RE/MAX Elite in Melbourne, Florida, including Broker/Manager Kerry Ramage, Marketing Manager Heather Holliday and Fundraising Manager Lisi Ross, work together with their client base and local community to help raise big bucks for CMN Hospitals. Each August, the office hosts a fundraiser at a local pizzeria, where Affiliates sell raffle tickets for baskets and hold a 50/50 drawing. This year the team raised more than $9,000 for CMN Hospitals, in addition to the funds raised from other events they host throughout the year, like a family picnic and painting party.

Crayons for Kids
Associate Kristen Long and RE/MAX Realty Associates in Champaign, Illinois, are collecting crayon boxes to donate to their local CMN hospital. Long was inspired by a similar crayon drive hosted by Harmony Bellamy, Director of Happiness with RE/MAX Southern Shores in South Carolina, which has yielded more than 8,300 boxes over two years. During alocal TV spot, Long publicized the partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and encouraged the community to get involved.
Every Dollar Matters
RE/MAX Mountain Properties in Murphy, North Carolina, has designated itself a Miracle Office, which means a small donation is made to CMN Hospitals after every sale. Despite it being a nominal fee, the office leads the area in donations. Associate Dexter Hubbard summarizes it perfectly by saying, “The new children’s hospital has been completed and services the majority of pediatric cancer patients in our region. Touring the facilities was humbling. They have done an amazing job making sure the kids are comfortable and every detail was well thought out and every dollar maximized. It’s such a little thing to do for us, but every dollar helps. I would love to see every RE/MAX office doing the same!”
