When you look around the room at the 2024 RE/MAX Broker Owner Conference, one thing is very clear: RE/MAX is home to experienced leaders at all levels of the business.

These individuals hail from around the world, but they unite together – under the RE/MAX balloon – to collaborate, innovate, and shape the real estate industry.

Here are a few highlight insights overheard during the brand’s annual multiday event for business leaders in San Diego:

“Experience is everything – it drives referrals, repeat business and creates raving fans. It also helps retain and develop agents while attracting new recruits. Every touchpoint should embody the trust and quality that define our brand.”

– Amy Lessinger, President of RE/MAX. Lessinger shared this onstage during the Opening General Session of the 2024 RE/MAX BOC.

“There’s never been a better time to lead. And not only lead within your brokerage, but make your brokerage shine like the sun, attracting other agents to it.”

– Charlie Foxworth, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX One in Beaumont, Texas. Foxworth shared this during a panel focused on leading through industry change.

“This is the platform you’ve been looking for. You can manage everything from contact to contract to close – all in one platform. No more having to go to multiple places with multiple logins.”

– Erik Carlson, CEO of RE/MAX Holdings, parent company of RE/MAX, Motto Mortgage, and wemlo. During the event, it was announced that RE/MAX is upgrading and expanding its technology with the BoldTrail platform from Inside Real Estate, which will turn MAX/Tech℠ powered by kvCORE into MAX/Tech powered by BoldTrail and feature a plethora of additional features.

“I get as much out of the BOC sessions as I do networking with people … I’ve met so many people and everybody is willing to share their strategies. It’s invaluable to me.”

– Alicia Parker, Owner of RE/MAX Incompass in Ohio

“We are all RE/MAX Broker/Owners. We are known for the highest level, best quality of service, professional designations, education … We’re going to lead this industry through this transition into the next, because our agents are the best trained, highest level of professionalism and provide that value. The consumer wants that.”

– Debra Beagle, CEO and Managing Broker/Owner of The Ashton Real Estate Group of RE/MAX Advantage in Tennessee. Recently, Beagle’s team won the “Most Innovative Team” accolade of the 2024 Inman Innovator Awards.

“It’s time to raise the standard in this industry. No one complains about price when they know they’re receiving great value.”

– Prominent industry coach Brian Buffini, Buffini & Company and the Certified Full-Service Professional (CFSP) designation

“We [often] act as if we get to do things twice, [but] some things don’t come back around. You don’t get some opportunities again. That’s why legacy moments are so important … I always say: ‘People may forget what we say or what we do, but people will never forget the way we make them feel.’”

– Inky Johnson, BOC keynote speaker and former University of Tennessee football player whose athletic career ended when he suffered a life-altering injury. Now, Johnson takes the lessons he’s learned – like perseverance – and shares them with others.

“The highlight of the BOC was learning about the new tech RE/MAX is bringing to the network. [I’m excited] that it’s in one place, it’s one login that does everything. We’ve needed that for a long time.”

– Mark Butterfield, Broker/Owner, RE/MAX Realty Services in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
