According to Inman, the awards “honor companies, individuals and new technology that increase productivity, efficiency and transparency for consumers and real estate professionals alike.”

It makes sense that this particular award went to an entrepreneurial team rooted in innovation.

“We have always tried to be at the forefront of adopting or creating innovative ideas to enhance the customer and agent experience. It helps maintain our competitive advantage and hold on to the ‘#1 RE/MAX team in the world’ spot!” Ashton adds.

The Ashton Real Estate Group uses a myriad of creative strategies to help their business stand out – and be as efficient as possible. One example is how they’ve found new ways to harness the power of technology for business. Some types of AI, according to Ashton, are helping strengthen an agent’s value proposition to a customer, rather than replace their role.

“ListAssist is the latest artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) search tool we’re using, and it has created some unique opportunities as many consumers have been using it ways we weren’t expecting. It has opened the doors to create a new way of targeting and delivering content to really satisfy those consumers,” he says.

Ashton says the team’s steadfast focus is on agents, clients, and new strategies.

“We’re always looking for new ways to help our agents create more opportunities for themselves. Another way we’re currently doing this is through CoMarketing, the new program we’re partaking in where we partner with home service providers and promote each other’s businesses,” Ashton continues. “This delivers more value to our clients beyond the actual real estate transaction, and is a great way to retain business long term. It’s been a successful idea so far, and we look forward to continually expanding the program.”

Debra Beagle, who co-owns and leads the business alongside Ashton, shares the vision for a future-minded brokerage.
