RE/MAX supports homeownership for all – and the RE/MAX mission is to deliver the best experience in everything real estate. That includes providing resources that make the buying and selling processes more navigable for Spanish-speaking individuals.

For the third year in a row, RE/MAX is a proud sponsor of the National Association of Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) Glossary of Real Estate Terms, a helpful resource that translates real estate industry lingo from English to Spanish and also Spanish to English. Each year, the glossary is revised with additions to ensure consumers have the most up-to-date terminology.

Likely one of the largest transactions a person will make in their lifetime, buying or selling a home can feel daunting – especially when facing a language barrier. With the help of this glossary, Spanish-speaking individuals and families have a resource that can help communication every step of the way, from securing a loan to finding an agent to submitting an offer.

“The dream of homeownership should be achievable for as many people as possible regardless of heritage, ethnicity, nationality or language,” says Mike Reagan, RE/MAX Senior Vice President, Industry Relations and Global Growth & Development. “And this is one reason why RE/MAX proudly supports NAHREP and the 2021 edition of the English-Spanish Glossary of Real Estate Terms.”
