The RE/MAX Month of Miracles is underway this August with RE/MAX affiliates, offices and teams throughout the U.S. and Canada finding new ways – and continuing traditions – to support Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.

From joining the Miracle Home and Property Program to hosting charity events that gather community, the RE/MAX network prioritizes giving back now and all year long.

Check out what RE/MAX affiliates are doing to support CMN Hospitals this month.

Motorcycle for Miracles

Bruce Johnson, an agent with RE/MAX By the Bay in Ontario, Canada, will be completing his fourth Motorcycle for Miracles Journey this August.

This summer’s trek, dubbed the “Labrador Ride 2022” is currently in progress as Johnson makes his way toward the far northeastern corner of Canada and back via an over 10,000 kilometer (6,213 mile) loop by motorcycle. He will also stop to visit 10 CMN affiliate hospitals along the way.

This time around, Johnson hopes to raise $250,000 for CMN Hospitals. His previous efforts have raised over $750,000, therefore contributions from the current ride could bring his donation totals to over $1 million dollars.

The cause is especially meaningful to Johnson, whose family has been directly impacted by CMN and its efforts to care for children in need. In 1998, Johnson’s first daughter received care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at SickKids Hospital in Toronto, an affiliate of CMN, during her 20-day lifespan.

“No matter the size of the donation, we’re grateful to witness the spirit of generosity so that kids can be helped or even cured – and go on to the important business of being a kid again,” says Johnson on the Motorcycle for Miracles website.

Concert Under the Stars

Music lovers are invited to grab a lawn chair, rent a table, and get ready to give back to CMN Hospitals. This month, RE/MAX Premier in Atlanta is hosting the Concert Under the Stars, an evening filled with live jazz music where all proceeds benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, an affiliate of CMN Hospitals. The event will take place on August 26 at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre in Mableton.

Featured musicians include jazz trio Gritz and Jelly Butter, saxophonist BK Jackson and other local favorites. Mikari Tarpley, an Honorary Patient Hero for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, will also perform as a special guest.

“I feel it in my heart that we have a duty to always give back. My brokerage’s motto is ‘Community. Balance. Success’ and this is a wonderful way of doing our part in the community while having balance away from work,” says Torrence Ford, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Premier.

Tickets are on sale now at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre box office and on Ticketmaster, with discounts available for teachers, first responders and frontline workers.

Fall Fling

Just after the Month of Miracles ends, RE/MAX Premier Services in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and RE/MAX Realty Professionals in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, are teaming up to host a Fall Fling fundraiser for CMN Hospitals. During the event, attendees will enjoy food trucks, live music, a silent auction – and even a chance at a tethered ride in the famous RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon.

“Helping children in our local community get the care they need is a staple of our office and in our hearts. Money raised from the event will embrace CMN Hospitals’ mission to support life-saving equipment, vital patient programs and innovative research to help provide the best possible care to children who need it” says Alivia Roma, Manager of RE/MAX Premier Services. “Accomplishing our goal will help all of us to better serve children right in our backyard.”

The event is being held on September 24 and will benefit Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.

Since 1992, RE/MAX has been a proud partner of CMN Hospitals, with the RE/MAX network supporting and donating to 170 affiliate CMN Hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. During the 30-year partnership, RE/MAX affiliates have raised over $185 million for CMN Hospitals.
