It’s a short but powerful phrase that perfectly describes Mike Jones, Broker/Owner of REMAX At The Crossing. Known for his larger-than-life personality and boundless energy, Jones leads a thriving network of five offices and over 60 agents across Indianapolis, Lafayette, Richmond and surrounding areas. His latest move – a strategic partnership with REMAX Centerstone, formerly owned and operated by Lance Rhoades – became official in early November. The transition brings over 30 agents and two Centerstone offices – one in Avon and another in Plainfield – under Jones’ leadership.
Family Values
Jones has been a respected leader in local real estate for more than 18 years, with 12 of those under the REMAX banner. When he came into ownership of REMAX At The Crossing 11 years ago, he said his vision was clear.

A trusted, proven leader in delivering exceptional support to clients, agents and Broker/Owners alike,” Jones says. “The REMAX network is built on a foundation of professionalism, innovation and collaboration, guiding successful outcomes for valued clients throughout every stage of their real estate journey.”
REMAX At The Crossing, or the “REMAX ATC Family,” as Jones refers to it, was built around that philosophy: To build a “family” of dedicated agents united by a strong local presence and connected to the unparalleled global network of REMAX.
That founding vision continues to guide him. In recent years, Jones has expanded into nine counties, adding offices in Lapel, Lafayette and Richmond. The acquisition of REMAX Centerstone builds on the solid foundation he’s worked hard to establish.
“While we are proud of what we’ve achieved together, our pursuit of excellence is ongoing,” Jones adds. “For us, the work of becoming better for our clients never ends. It’s the standard we live by. Growing our family of agents and offices is pivotal for the betterment of the services, relationships and support to our agents, their clients and the communities we call home.”

Lasting Legacy
Jones is a mentor and motivator with a magnetic presence. People are naturally drawn to him, and he doesn’t take that lightly.
Colleagues share Jones is “all about the people” and will always make himself available, saying he genuinely treats his agents and clients like family and is their biggest cheerleader while also being a rock-solid knowledge base.
That people-first approach makes the partnership with Centerstone a natural fit.
Rhoades, who will remain on as CFO, brings more than 23 years of experience to the table. After owning a successful independent brokerage, he acquired the REMAX Centerstone office in Avon in 2002 and opened a second location in 2009, building a similar foundation of service and community.
“When I founded Centerstone Realty, my goal was simple. It was to build an agency that truly supported its agents,” says Rhoades. “Over the years, as we grew and evolved, we saw an opportunity to become a leading REMAX franchise on the west side of Indiana, with the long-term vision of becoming the dominant real estate company across central Indiana.”
He continues: “This new partnership with REMAX At The Crossing is a natural extension of that vision. It’s a powerful alignment of two companies that share similar values, goals and a deep commitment to their agents. This is a true win-win for everyone involved, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.”
Jones has no plans to fix what isn’t broken.
“My philosophy is to take the best of what’s working and merge it,” Jones says. “Every brokerage has its strengths. When you bring two together, it’s about finding the synergies and building something even better for everyone involved.”
Colleagues say he’s good at seeing what works from the perspective of an agent supporting their clients’ needs, while also finding the harmony in the perspective of an office supporting their agents’ needs, and then bringing it all together.
Future Vision
Jones is also passionate about leveraging the tools and tech that REMAX provides.
“I’m fully immersed. I don’t just dip my toes in; I dive headfirst,” he jokes. But he’s serious about the future REMAX is building and the potential it holds.
“MAXTech powered by BoldTrail, Lead Concierge, MAXEngage, Photofy, Hustle, Marketing as a Service, and the list keeps going. I promote all of them in our meetings, and make sure our agents are trained and well-equipped to meet their clients’ needs,” he says.
He’s also a strong advocate for REMAX events, attending R4 and the Broker Owner Conference (BOC) every year. While the REMAX network is one of many value propositions, Jones says it’s the most valuable to him.
“In-person networking is huge. Locally, it builds genuine connections, fosters a culture of shared success, and keeps both agents and clients aligned with the latest market conditions, community insights and best practices. Nationally and internationally, it opens doors to emerging opportunities, client referrals and even friendships.”
As Jones continues to build relationships, open doors and create opportunities, one thing remains at the core of his mission: building a family of trusted and respected professionals.
