RE/MAX affiliates have called the First® app “simple to use,” “the biggest tool [an agent] can put in their toolbox in 2021,” and “just so easy.” Now they can call it “award-winning” too – courtesy of the Franchise Innovation Awards.

The app, a coaching and machine-learning tool exclusive to RE/MAX agents and brokers, earned a first-place finish in the “Most Innovative Use of Data” category in the contest hosted by Franchise Update Media. This accolade comes on the heels of a recent announcement highlighting the app‘s success, which revealed the proprietary technology helped affiliates grow their businesses and uncover new listings in the year since becoming a RE/MAX product in early 2020. 

“The RE/MAX value proposition is all about providing ways to help automate and streamline business for busy agents, so they can focus on helping the consumer,” says RE/MAX President Nick Bailey. “The First app helps agents grow their businesses by helping them refine their contact list, predict likely sellers and master follow-up. In 2020, the app identified over 33,000 listings out of RE/MAX agents’ existing contacts. RE/MAX agents who began using First prior to April 2020 increased their productivity – in terms of transaction sides – by 9% on average, in comparison to the same time period in 2019.

“[The First app] is a data-eating beast,” says David Nichols, Manager of RE/MAX Elite Realtors in Lees Summit, Missouri. “The more you feed it, the better it is. We are using it to focus our marketing.”
