Birdhouses and Santa
“Chaotic and fun” is how the folks at RE/MAX New Beginnings in Baltimore describe their birdhouse giveaway at Santa House, a Christmas event in the nearby town of Arbutus. This year, the brokerage donated a record 400 birdhouses. The office also brought art supplies for children to decorate their birdhouses while waiting for Santa to arrive.

Mr. Clean
Keith Masotto is a great neighbor, and he has an award to prove it. The Cairns Sun recognized Masotto, a Sales Associate with RE/MAX Real Estate Services, with the “My Neighbour” honor after local residents praised his helpfulness – and penchant for cleaning up. Because he often mows neighbors’ lawns, picks up their mail or clears leaves from their gutters, residents nicknamed him the “Mayor of Fleming Street.” One neighbor described Masotto as a “one-man Clean Up Australia campaign.” As part of his recognition, Masotto was featured in the newspaper and received a $150 gift certificate.

Holiday fun
The agents and staff at RE/MAX North-San Antonio were extra visible in their neighboring community of Helotes in December. The brokerage organized a holiday card-coloring booth at the inaugural Helotes Winterfest, an event organized on behalf of the non-profit Kidsville Optimist Club. A couple of weeks later, Associates were back in Helotes, this time to show off the illuminated float they designed and built for the Lighted Christmas Parade. The float took home a third-place prize in the commercial float category. The office also hosted a client appreciation evening in San Antonio, which featured Santa himself and garnered dozens of toy donations to the Warrior and Family Support Center.

Good Samaritan Society facelift
As much as Susie Burns appreciates the care her mother receives at the special memory care unit of the Good Samaritan Society, she felt something was missing: a touch of elegance. So Burns, a Sales Associate with RE/MAX Hot Springs Village, did something about it. She’s refurbishing the unit, stripping dated wallpaper and installing brighter, warmer lighting. Burns’ plans include new floors and new furniture – all in honor of her parents who instilled in her a sense of style and compassion.

Miracle Homes donation
Agents at RE/MAX Equity Group have been hard at work raising money for sick and injured kids through the Miracle Home program. By December, their efforts added up to $15,000 in donations for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Broker/Owner Russ Newcomer was on hand to present the generous check in front of thousands of fans at a Portland Trail Blazers game. Dozens of young patients from the hospital (and their parents) were at the game, as guests of the brokerage, to see it all unfold.

Months of hard work paid off big time for RE/MAX 440 and RE/MAX Central, two brokerages owned by Tom Skiffington. In October, the offices organized an elaborate Masquerade Ball fundraiser that netted a $13,471 donation to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The check was delivered in person by Skiffington and three of his agents.

Thanksgiving family tradition
It’s all in the family for Patricia and Bradley Bentz. The Bentzes and their two daughters have been delivering Thanksgiving dinners to the homebound for the past 22 years. It’s a treasured family tradition for this RE/MAX of Reading Broker Associate and his Sales Associate wife. For the clients of the Berks Encore Meals on Wheels program, it’s an opportunity to enjoy a holiday feast with all the fixings and reconnect with this dedicated family.
