“Remember the phrase ‘A rising tide lifts all boats.’ When we unite and we enhance the RE/MAX experience, there’s nothing we can’t do.”

That was the underlying message from RE/MAX President Amy Lessinger as she addressed hundreds of RE/MAX brokerage leaders gathered at the Opening General Session of the 2024 RE/MAX Broker Owner Conference.

Erik Carlson, CEO of RE/MAX Holdings – the parent company of RE/MAX, Motto Mortgage and wemlo – echoed that sense of coming together as one RE/MAX team.

“We are definitely stronger together than we are apart,” Carlson told the crowd. “This community is a collection of independently owned and operated businesses, but we’re all united under the RE/MAX balloon. There’s so much opportunity in that built-in connection.”

Carlson said RE/MAX affiliates are well-positioned in the competitive landscape.

“We have the most trusted agents – at a time when trust is the No. 1 thing on buyers’ and sellers’ minds when they choose an agent. We have the most productive agents – when skills are particularly important in this market. We have a technology platform that’s growing and a game-changer. And we have each other – this community of the best Broker/Owners, teams and agents in real estate,” he said.

“We’re going to talk about harnessing the collective power of this team, and what it means, in many new ways. And we’re going to start writing the next chapter of the RE/MAX story.”

Trust at the forefront

In a candid conversation with Lessinger, RE/MAX Chairman and Co-Founder Dave Liniger reinforced his confidence in the quality and impact of RE/MAX agents, who’ve been recognized multiple times for their productivity and trustworthiness.

“I believe in the honor, the honesty, the integrity, and the transparency of RE/MAX agents,” Liniger said.

Abby Lee, EVP of Marketing, Communications and Events, also joined Lessinger onstage for a talk about the importance of brand consistency and the many advantages of trusted agents.

“Trust is the precursor to choice. In fact, 93% of consumers say trust is very Important to them when choosing an agent,” Lee explained. “With such a large percentage of consumers saying this, we have to lean in. We have the most trusted agents in the U.S. and Canada – and we have for three consecutive years.”

“None of our competitors have this advantage, and that creates great opportunity for us,” she shared.

Innovating technology

A big part of the next chapter involves the expansion and enhancement of the brand’s technology platform, the opening session’s biggest announcement.

“Using the power of our community – through group purchasing and our strategic partnership with Inside Real Estate – we’re adding additional solutions to our already-robust platform,” Lessinger told the audience, which loudly applauded the news.

The expansion includes four Inside Real Estate (IRE) solutions: BoldTrail BackOffice, BoldTrail Recruit, Folio and the CoreHome app.

“Your connected, holistic platform [gives you a] single source of data [with] real time insights into all the workflow that’s happening through the real estate transaction. I think this technology can supercharge your operations from a front-office and back-office perspective,” Carlson said.

The technology expansion is one aspect of upgrading the RE/MAX experience for every affiliate.

“I want to make sure that you see incredible value in being part of this amazing brand … I want to make sure you feel like the investment you’re making in RE/MAX is the absolute best investment that you could possibly make, and that you are working with a world-class team and getting a world-class experience,” Carlson continued. “That is our vision, that is our purpose and that is what drives us.”

“We are all RE/MAX. I firmly believe our best days are ahead of us – and I’m certainty excited about making that journey with all of you.”

Elevating the experience

Another main theme of the session was a focus on elevating the RE/MAX experience at every level of the network. From creating new feedback channels to launching a U.S. Advisory Council to connecting buyers and sellers with a trusted RE/MAX agent, Lessinger and Carlson emphasized the value of delivering positive experiences in consistent, meaningful ways.

“Experience is everything – it drives referrals, repeat business and creates raving fans. It also helps retain and develop agents while attracting new recruits. Every touchpoint should embody the trust and quality that define our brand,” Lessinger said. “You have an equally powerful edge in technology now, too – a best-in-class platform that can transform your office. It’s a true game-changer – and a unique advantage in the market.

“There’s nothing we can’t achieve. We will be unstoppable – market by market.”
