The global, all-virtual RE/MAX Broker Owner Convention (BOC) speaker lineup will include big names such as legendary NFL champion quarterback Joe Theismann and cultural critic and comedian Baratunde Thurston.
The two-day, virtual experience takes place August 17-18 and is open to all RE/MAX Broker/Owners.
Theismann joined RE/MAX Chief Customer Officer Nick Bailey on “Good Morning RE/MAX” June 23 to preview his BOC appearance. The 1982 Super Bowl champ evolved into a businessman after a nationally televised, career-ending injury in 1985 set his professional path on a different course. His new book, “How to Be a Champion Every Day,” was released in June 2020.
Thurston will end the BOC on a high note during the August 18 Closing Session. He’s a New York Times bestselling author (“How to Be Black”) who in 2015 helped relaunch Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” The grandson of the first Black employee at the U.S. Supreme Court building and the son of a computer programmer who took over radio stations for Black liberation, Thurston knows all about forging one’s own path.
Additionally, Scott Stratten will appear on a special BOC-week “Good Morning RE/MAX,” the live online show streamed via Facebook on Tuesdays. He is the co-owner of UnMarketing, Inc. and a co-host of The UnPodcast, which both explore the changing world of business through the lens of his own entrepreneurial experiences.
Other BOC speakers include real estate coach Jared James, Freddie Mac’s Carmen Mercado and RE/MAX Co-Founder Dave Liniger.
BOC registration is open to all RE/MAX Broker/Owners. Early-bird registration is open through July 13 at a special price of $99. Regular registration, at $129, runs through August 16.
