Walk through the (virtual) lobby, pop in and out of (virtual) sessions, meet up for (virtual) happy hour, enjoy live (virtual) entertainment and visit staffed (virtual) booths to have one-on-one chats in the Marketplace. The BOC may look different this year, but it’s designed to feel the same as ever.
“If there’s one thing I want people to know it’s that BOC@Home is not another Zoom meeting,” says Pam Harris, RE/MAX Senior Vice President of Customer Experience. “We love Zoom, but it’s how we already spend a large portion of our days now. The BOC is an escape from everyday life – and it’s all been designed to facilitate education, collaboration and having a good time.”
Speaking of a good time: Announced last week, Stephen “tWitch” Boss – the hugely popular “So You Think You Can Dance” star and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” DJ – will play an encore to his R4 performance on Monday, August 17, during the Virtual Happy Hour. (Dancing in the privacy of a home, office or chair is highly encouraged.)

To make the entire event happen seamlessly, RE/MAX is introducing a new virtual events platform. It’s designed to mimic a live event but from behind the safety of a digital screen.
Because the 2020 BOC is 100% virtual and more accessible than ever, attendees will notice a few perks, including the introduction of a global track. International attendees – already totaling more than 250 and representing more than 40 countries – will find sessions specific to their learning needs and interests.
Best of all? All sessions, many of which feature live Q&A portions during the event, will be available on-demand for paid registrants through the end of the year. That means, if an attendee chooses to attend one session at a certain time, they can go back and watch the other sessions they missed at a later time.
“It’s more learning for less money,” Harris says. “With a low registration fee and no travel expenses required, attending the BOC can be a true investment in business.”
BOC@Home speakers include RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos, RE/MAX CCO Nick Bailey and RE/MAX Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board Dave Liniger, of course, but also NFL great Joe Theissman, cultural comedian Baratunde Thurston and marketing expert Scott Stratten.
Registration is open through August 16. This is a BOC RE/MAX Broker/Owners won’t want to miss – and because of convenience, they don’t have to.
