Clint Bruce has done it all. He’s been a football star – first playing for the U.S. Naval Academy and then professionally – served as a Navy Special Warfare Officer and started his own business. And through it all, Bruce benefitted from the strong leadership of coaches and superiors every step of the way.

On this week’s episode of the Start With a Win podcast, Bruce joins RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos to share how his experiences – both on the football field and serving overseas – have shaped his appreciation for unwavering leadership.

Bruce credits those who have influenced him throughout his life, including football coaches, military officials and his father, with helping him understand what’s required for success and achievement. He channeled those noteworthy qualities when starting multiple businesses, including the Trident Response Group.

The Trident Response Group serves U.S. veterans through safety and security advising.

“I just knew that the way to surround myself with great leadership was to find ways to provide value for these leaders… And now to be able to do that, and to create opportunities for other veterans… It’s really a lot of fun. It’s a great honor,” Bruce says.

On the podcast, Bruce dives into the experiences – like failure – that define successful people.

“When you unshackle yourself from the expectation of perfection, you begin to see the world clearly – and yourself fairly.”
