Grammy Award Winner, Pro Runner Among 2021 RE/MAX BOC Speakers

In early August, the RE/MAX Broker Owner Conference (BOC) is heading to downtown Austin, Texas, for the first time. The in-person conference, to be held at the JW Marriott Austin August 8-10, will feature the insight and expertise of more than 20 industry leaders, coaches and RE/MAX affiliates – but also two notable guests from beyond the real estate business: Eric Whitacre and Gilbert Tuhabonye.

“Conference attendees will hear stories of inspiration and innovation that will, no doubt, strike a chord with them to help inspire new ways of building and revitalizing their businesses,” says Pam Harris, RE/MAX Senior Vice President of Customer Experience. “RE/MAX constantly strives to weave presenters with diverse backgrounds and methods of delivery into the conference sessions to offer a variety of insights and inspiration.”

Whitacre, a Grammy Award-winning composer and conductor, will help kick off the conference during the Opening General Session on Monday, August 9. Not only is Whitacre the pioneering musician behind Virtual Choirs, he’s also a charismatic speaker. His viral TED Talk has been viewed nearly 5 million times and features both speaking and music. The lessons he espouses – to global audiences and Fortune 500 companies alike – can help audiences reframe how they think and feel.

Tuhabonye, a retired professional runner and genocide survivor, will wrap up the conference during the Closing Session on Tuesday, August 10. BOC attendees will hear his story of overcoming unfathomable tragedy, but also a story of faith, hope and resilience – and Broker/Owners will be able to take those lessons back to their own businesses.

The RE/MAX BOC is a three-day event packed with business growth opportunities and networking for some of the top Broker/Owners in the business. Attendees will also be treated to insight shared by top industry coaches such as Jared James, Wayne Fredrick and Verl Workman. Plus, Broker/Owners will hear from RE/MAX Holdings Chairman and Co-Founder Dave Liniger, RE/MAX Holdings CEO Adam Contos and RE/MAX President Nick Bailey.

Early bird registration is now available for the price of $550. Beginning July 1, the rate will increase to $650. On-site registration at the event is $750.
