Woah, a RE/MAX Agent Listed That?!

In 2021, real estate didn’t just buzz, it boomed. And among the millions of houses that hit the market, RE/MAX agents – prepared for any task or challenge – listed some of the most unique ones around the world, from an iconic filming site (Scarlett O’Hara knows it well) to an entire Mediterranean island.

Here’s a look back at some of the many amazing properties listed by RE/MAX agents throughout 2021.

A Private Italian Island

Shijia Ding, an agent with RE/MAX Associati Real Estate in Milan, Italy, listed a 60-square-mile private island on the coastal border between Italy, Croatia and Slovenia. The property came with scenic beaches as well as infrastructure like multiple hotels and a grocery store.

The Estate from “Gone With the Wind”

Jordan Cohen of RE/MAX One in California holds the listing for the Oak Canyon Ranch, famous for being one of the filming sites of the 1939 movie “Gone With the Wind.” The secluded Aguora Hills estate, which features multiple homes, a helicopter pad, an amphitheater and more, was also featured in many other 1930s and 1940s films.

A Prestigious $100 Million-Dollar California Ranch

Cohen also currently holds the listing for the prestigious Black Mountain Ranch in Ojai, California, a 3,600-acre ranch with a 13,250-square-foot main residence, private fishing lake, automobile museum and more. The property is a true escape with unobstructed mountain views and 35 miles of private nature trails.

A House Made Entirely Out of Shipping Containers

RE/MAX Equity Group agent Louise James explored the realm of modern aesthetics and eco-friendly living when she listed a luxury home built out of 11 shipping containers. Located in Vancouver, Washington, the resourceful home was even featured on HGTV’s show “Container Homes.”

The Highest Home for Sale on the East Coast

At an elevation of 3,301 feet, this observatory-style home in Free Union, Virginia, listed by Jake McNemar with RE/MAX Crossroads, is currently the highest home for sale on the East Coast of the U.S. Its octagonal shape makes for panoramic views of luscious scenery and rolling hills.
