It’s February 27 – hours before the official Welcome Reception – and thousands of attendees have arrived in Las Vegas for the 2023 RE/MAX R4 convention. The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino is adorned in RE/MAX images for a celebration of 50 years of RE/MAX – and of real estate excellence today. “I’m very glad to be here. I always get a jump start and pick up new ways of doing things when I come to R4,” says Todd Luckey, a Chairman’s Club member with RE/MAX Reinvented in Evans, Georgia. “It really helps when the market is changing or I reach a plateau. Every market seems to have low inventory, so you need to have fresh new ideas and know how to convey them to your clients. You get them at R4.”

A good number of attendees arrived early for Sunday Broker/Owner masterminds as well as pre-convention classes on technology, commercial real estate, business strategies and more. The lineup included a Train-the-Trainer session with instruction on MAX/TechSM powered by kvCORE, the new tech solution that launched in Canada late last year and in the U.S. in January.

Sunday also included the Special Award Winner Luncheon, a high-powered gala honoring the network’s top performers. After a format change in the wake of COVID-19, the 2023 event was a return to the live, in-person format that’s always a rousing R4 favorite.

“It’s fantastic to see you all – in person! We’ve done this event virtually the past two years and even though that was fine – I think we’d all agree this is 1,000 times better,” said show host Amy Lessinger, RE/MAX Sr. Vice President, Region Development. “Welcome to one of the truly special events at R4 – our celebration of outstanding achievement in leadership, growth and sales. The awards we’ll present today represent years of effort and hard work. The trophies are amazing – but the impact they represent is even more impressive.” Sunday was a great preview, but the real action started Monday – as thousands of attendees arrived to begin their 2023 R4 experience. Hallways, ballrooms and session rooms came alive with excited agents and Broker/Owners greeting each other and exchanging ideas, strategies and referrals.

In the MarketPlace – a vendor area where dozens of vetted RE/MAX Approved Suppliers offered the latest real estate products and services – attendees found everything from signs and closing gifts to coaching and professional education. All of it was designed for one thing: to help RE/MAX affiliates thrive in any kind of market. Toward the back of the room, attendees watched RE/MAX President and CEO Nick Bailey in action as he conducted live interviews with RE/MAX luxury superstar Jordan Cohen and renowned industry coach Jared James. Bailey will share the spotlight with RE/MAX Holdings Chairman and Co-Founder Dave Liniger and adventurer Bear Grylls at Tuesday’s Opening General Session.

Monday also featured sessions on technology, marketing, social media, time management, prospecting, understanding the market, and more. In a new twist this year, the day also included informal, half-hour “meet-ups” of various groups and specialties. The takeaway: R4 is constantly adding new elements and upgrading the experience. More than 9,000 attendees will see that for themselves in the next couple days.
