Next Stop for This RE/MAX Broker: a Rocket Ship to Outer Space

For an adventure of a lifetime, one RE/MAX Broker/Owner is temporarily trading the iconic RE/MAX hot air balloon for a rocket ship – and voyaging to space.

The out-of-this-world trip is part of a growth initiative conceived by Murat Goldstayn, region owner of RE/MAX Turkey. Goldstayn offered the region’s Broker/Owners an expense-paid ticket to space if they added 100 agents to their brokerage and hit an ambitious production goal in 2023.

Ahmet Temel, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Final in Istanbul, reached both milestones and was named the winner.

In addition to leading his brokerage, Temel currently ranks No. 3 among top producers in the worldwide RE/MAX network.

“We are extremely proud of Ahmet for his ongoing commitment to growing RE/MAX Turkey and building his business,” Goldstayn says. “There are no limits to what entrepreneurs can achieve with the right motivation.”

Temel adds, “This opportunity is an incredible honor. It is recognition of the work and dedication I put into my profession. This feeling will always motivate me to continue pushing the boundaries of my dreams.”

Temel, who already holds a pilot’s license to fly airplanes, will travel skyward through the Virgin Galactic NextGen Astronaut program. Space travel has been his lifelong dream.

“Going to space is definitely a dream come true. It has always fascinated me, and now I can’t believe I get to experience it firsthand,” Temel says. “When I was a child, I used to look up at the stars, and I’ve watched so many science fiction movies about space. My childhood dreams are about to come true.”

Temel is currently taking space travel preparation courses, and later in his training he’ll visit the Virgin Galactic Headquarters in the U.S.

The timing of Temel’s flight depends on availability with Virgin Galactic. Whenever that may be, though, he knows he’ll be ready.
