From Mexico to Canada, Monday (April 8) is a day many have been looking forward to. People will have the chance to witness a total solar eclipse, where the moon momentarily passes between the sun and the Earth, blocking the view of the sun in its entirety and causing the sky to go dark for a bit.

Wondering what the hype is all about? According to the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), it’s expected that there won’t be another total eclipse spanning over so much of North America again until August 23, 2044.

While the spectacular spectacle will be somewhat visible from many places, people who live along the eclipse’s “path of totality” will have the best view. This path is essentially the corridor where the sun will be fully blocked by the moon, whereas in other locations farther away from it, the viewing will be less intense.

Curious about some of these prime locations? Check out a sampling of homes for sale located along the 2024 total solar eclipse’s path of totality. Even after the eclipse has passed, these locales make for some pretty incredible places to reside.
