The 2021 RE/MAX R4 convention is finally here! And the excitement can be felt everywhere – even through a computer or smartphone screen.
For the first time ever, some R4 attendees are at the socially distanced venue in Orlando, Florida, while most are experiencing the action virtually. This year’s R4 Your Way is designed to accommodate everyone around the world with a hybrid platform and translations in 17 languages. It all allows for learning, networking and having fun in the process.
Because there are no planes or trains necessary, many RE/MAX agents from around the world are excited to be able to attend – some even for the first time. In fact, the R4 audience includes virtual attendees from 63 countries, making it a truly global networking opportunity.
“[R4] really is the event that I look forward to most every year. I feel like it’s the kick-off to the year,” says Kevin Arlandi, Manager of RE/MAX Central in Buenos Aires, Argentina. “I have attended the international convention for six years in a row, and this is the first year I will not [be there in-person]. I will miss the [in-person] energy, but I am taking advantage of attending virtually.”
He credits the annual event with helping to grow his global connections.
“Thanks to R4, I have been able to close international deals and always give excellent service to our clients,” he says. “I believe R4 gives us a more palpable perspective of the great company that we are and leads us to understand that we are the most important network in the world.”

Jordan Glaser, a Diamond Club Team Leader with RE/MAX Realtron Realty in Toronto, is also attending R4 virtually. When asked why he keeps coming back, he points to the amazing keynote speakers as well as the new ideas he finds at the event each year.
“I have been attending R4 in Vegas for the past several years, and every year I take home so much value,” Glaser says. “I’m disappointed I can’t attend in person this year, but the ability to attend virtually is awesome. [R4] is a great time to spend together and learn new ways to improve our business.”
For Rose Kemp, a sales associate with RE/MAX Town Centre in Orlando, R4 is imperative to her as an entrepreneur. It provides an opportunity to recharge and have fun, but also to learn and grow – something she says is hugely important when it comes to staying relevant in her market and up to date with technology.
“[R4] is valuable on so many levels to me,” says Kemp, a member of the 100% Club. “Mainly understanding the latest and greatest of our brand, understanding how to utilize the tools provided, but most of all, the connections made with the RE/MAX network.”

Sessions at the 2021 R4 cover a variety of business-building topics and many speak to overcoming challenges – after all, RE/MAX agents have proven they can adapt to anything over the past year. Educational sessions range from “Small Budget Social Media Marketing: Success Strategies” to “How to Create Inventory in a Low Inventory Market” and “Connecting in a High-Tech, Low-Touch World.” It’s all designed to energize and prepare RE/MAX affiliates to tackle the year ahead.
The opportunity to learn is just one of the many reasons Kristen Long, an associate with RE/MAX Realty Associates in Champaign, Illinois, chose to attend R4.
“The courses add great value to my business,” says Long, a 100% Club member. “I am looking forward to focusing on how to navigate this competitive market and best serve my clients as well as possibly add a team member or admin!”
R4 attendees will hear from personal finance expert Dave Ramsey during Wednesday’s Opening General Session, as well as RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos and RE/MAX Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board Dave Liniger. On Thursday, RE/MAX Chief Customer Officer Nick Bailey will host the R4-exclusive Good Afternoon RE/MAX.
Regardless if attendees are walking through the venue or scrolling through R4, the goal of the hybrid 2021 RE/MAX R4 is to provide value – and lasting connections – for everyone.
That, says Sue “Pinky” Benson with RE/MAX Realty Team in Naples, Florida, is exactly what she’s expecting to find this year.
“While I’m sad I’m not at the live event in Orlando, I’m excited to have the option to be there virtually! Every year, R4 has helped me build relationships with my fellow RE/MAX agents across the country and beyond,” says Benson, a 100% Club member. “In 2020, 66% of my business came from my RE/MAX referrals. I can’t wait to connect with new people this year and learn from the top experts at the convention. ‘See you there!'”
Long echoes that sentiment. Even though she’s hundreds of miles away, she says she still feels like she’s in Orlando with several of her colleagues – and is grateful for the cost-savings that attending virtually affords.
“I was hesitant to attend R4 my first few years,” Long reveals. “It is a significant cost when traveling, but I very quickly learned that you cannot put a price on the value that you take away from R4 and the relationships that come through networking with RE/MAX agents around the globe. I am proud to say that my business is run primarily by social media and referral, and I owe much of that to R4.”
R4 registration is open through Thursday, March 25. Attendees have access to virtual content for 90 days following the end of the event.
