When it comes to housing market activity, a lot of aspects saw growth from November 2023 to November 2024, according to the latest housing data from RE/MAX. New listings were 8.5% higher, overall housing inventory was 25% higher and home sales were 6.3% higher.

Home prices saw an annual uptick, too.

In November 2024, the median sales price of all 50 metro areas surveyed in the RE/MAX report was $429,000, up 5.7% from November 2023. In some markets, the price gains were more substantial.

Check out five metro areas where the median home sales prices increased the most in November, according to RE/MAX:

Bozeman, Montana

Home prices were up 14.7% in the Bozeman area compared to November 2023. The median sales price for this metro was $737,250 and listings spent an average of 78 days on the market before selling.

Wichita, Kansas

Home prices were up 11.6% in the Wichita metro compared to November 2023. The median sales price for this metro was $251,000 and listings spent an average of 37 days on the market before selling.

St. Louis, Missouri

Home prices were up 10.5% in St. Louis compared to November 2023. The median sales price for this metro was $265,280 and listings spent an average of 38 days on the market before selling.

Detroit, Michigan

Home prices were up 10.4% in the Detroit metro compared to November 2023. The median sales price for this metro was $265,000 and listings spent an average of 34 days on the market before selling.

Providence, Rhode Island

Home prices were up 10% in the Providence area compared to November 2023. The median sales price for this metro was $475,000 and listings spent an average of 39 days on the market before selling.
