More new listings are hitting the market these days, according to the RE/MAX National Housing Report.
In October 2024, compared to a year ago, new listings were 14.8% higher, and active inventory – the combination of new listings and those carrying over from the month prior – was 28.4% higher.
These five metro areas are seeing significantly more new listings than a year ago:
Las Vegas, Nevada
Increase in New Listings over October 2023: 40.1%
Median Price of Homes Sold: $440,000
Average Days on Market: 34
Phoenix, Arizona
Increase in New Listings over October 2023: 38.5%
Median Price of Homes Sold: $450,000
Average Days on Market: 57
Bozeman, Montana
Increase in New Listings over October 2023: 37.3%
Median Price of Homes Sold: $691,000
Average Days on Market: 72
Denver, Colorado
Increase in New Listings over October 2023: 36.3%
Median Price of Homes Sold: $590,000
Average Days on Market: 47
Kansas City, Missouri
Increase in New Listings over October 2023: 35.3%
Median Price of Homes Sold: $325,000
Average Days on Market: 41
