A Home Run Expansion

Lee Linhart, Broker/Owner of flagship office REMAX Results in Hendersonville, North Carolina, is expanding his REMAX operations into Florida with the acquisition of two offices and 49 agents. A former baseball player turned powerhouse brokerage owner, Linhart has built a reputation for assembling winning teams – starting with just two offices and growing to 29 locations and nearly 600 agents across North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee in just three years.

“We’re looking to dominate the South,” Linhart says. “There’s a reason for everything we do.”

Just months after acquiring REMAX Homes and Estates in Nashville, Tennessee, this newest move marks Linhart’s first expansion into Florida – a strategic decision made even more meaningful by the legacy brokerage involved.

Honoring a Legacy

The acquisition includes a well-established brand: REMAX Unlimited, opened in 2003 by Brenda Horst. Horst grew the company to two offices, both in Ponte Vedra, and cultivated a strong reputation in Northeast Florida – producing top agents and serving the community with integrity.

“It’s paramount for me to take care of Brenda’s legacy – and even elevate it,” Linhart says. “She’s built something to be proud of, and I want to make sure that continues.”

While Linhart will modernize operations and grow the footprint, he’s not looking to disrupt what’s already working. The offices will retain their brand names and build on their reputations.

“They’ve got some really good things going, which makes my job easier,” he said. “I’m really just streamlining some processes, helping them grow and letting them focus on what they do best – helping clients buy and sell real estate.”

Tech-Forward, Agent-Centric

Linhart’s leadership style is deeply agent focused. He maintains open lines of communication with every office, makes monthly visits and prioritizes one-on-one relationships.

“We meet agents where they are in their production and help them get where they want to go,” he says.

He’s also bringing a wave of innovation to the Florida offices. From AI-powered tools to enhanced marketing support, Linhart is excited to introduce the “new ways of REMAX” to agents who haven’t yet had an introduction to the brand’s latest tech.

“We’re very future-focused and want to be cutting edge, just like REMAX has been with its recent moves,” he says

His promotions team will lean into the new Marketing as a Service (MaaS) platform and support agents with social media, flyers, podcasts and video – all designed to amplify their presence and help them grow their business.

“We want agents to have a balanced life,” he says. “We want them to enjoy their work, but also have time for family, travel and the things that matter. Our goal is to make their lives easier and more profitable – with less work, if possible.”

Culture Is the Key

For Linhart, cultural alignment is non-negotiable. He’s learned through experience that growth only works when values and work ethic are aligned.

“You have to understand the previous owners and make sure your culture and mindset align with theirs,” he says. “Their beliefs are what the agents are already aligned with.”

He’s confident that the affiliates at REMAX Unlimited are a perfect fit for the culture he’s cultivated – one built on trust, support and shared goals.

“Brenda has spent decades building something special,” Linhart says. “It’s my job to protect that legacy – and elevate it.”

Coming Home

As he rounds the bases on this latest acquisition, Linhart sees a bright future for REMAX in Northeast Florida – one built on legacy, innovation and culture.

“Our work ethic, our beliefs, our culture – they mesh,” he says. “And I know it’ll be a win-win.”
