RE/MAX agents and offices around the world found creative ways to celebrate – and give back – during the RE/MAX Month of Miracles in August.
RE/MAX has been a proud philanthropic sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals since 1992, raising funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
To amplify the year-round RE/MAX partnership with CMN Hospitals, RE/MAX affiliates mark Month of Miracles with creative ways to raise funds in support of their local Children’s Miracle Network member hospital.
Here are a few ways RE/MAX affiliates celebrated this August.
Hosting a fundraiser
Scott and Renee Comey, co-owners of RE/MAX Elite in Washington, hosted a sales rally to raise extra funds to donate to their local CMN member hospital.
“We love kicking off every Quarterly Sales Rally with an opportunity for our agents, staff and vendors to donate to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!” Scott Comey says. “This month, we were blown away with the generosity from our RE/MAX Elite family! Renee and I said whatever amount [we] raised in 15 minutes we would match dollar for dollar. We raised $1,050. So CMN [Hospitals] is getting $2,100. So proud of our agents, staff and vendors who all contributed!”
Baking treats
Laura June, an agent with RE/MAX Little Oak Realty in British Columbia, sold homemade baked goods and donated proceeds to CMN Hospitals.
“I sold boxes of treats to agents who wanted to give them out as client gifts in August,” June shares. “They were branded with a RE/MAX and CMN [Hospitals] Balloon sticker with no office name so you can attach your business card and hand them out.”

Decorating their RE/MAX office
Clinton Calwell, an agent with RE/MAX Blueprint Realty in British Columbia, created new CMN Hospitals graphics to decorate the floors of his RE/MAX office. Then, he took it a step further.
“I’ve been having agents write their ‘why’ on it,” he shared on social media. “Hopefully these inspire some creativity for [other] offices. I produced these in-house because I own the equipment, but [any] local sign shop would be able to make these.”

Becoming a ‘Miracle Agent’
Tammy Hayes, an agent with RE/MAX Palm Realty in Florida, decided to become a Miracle Agent this month, making a donation to her local member hospital after each closed transaction.
“I am so happy to be participating this year in donating to Children’s Miracle Network [Hospitals] with every listing I close,” Hayes said. “I’m excited. It’s the first year I have done it and will certainly continue.”
Selling face masks
Sue “Pinky” Benson, an agent with RE/MAX Realty Team in Naples, Florida, has been selling face masks in her signature color – pink – during the pandemic. With the help of Hallmark Promotions, the company making the masks, she donated a portion of proceeds to CMN Hospitals for the month of August.
“You can buy [a face mask] and $1 will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network [Hospitals] in honor of our son Sawyer,” Benson said.

Creating RE/MAX beer
Jessica Belanger, an agent with RE/MAX First in Michigan, found a creative way to contribute to CMN Hospitals after her office’s annual golf tournament was canceled.
“We released our RE/MAX beer with proceeds going to CMN [Hospitals]!” Belanger said. “[It was a special order]. If [anyone would] like to duplicate it, I’d suggest finding a local brew house. It’s great advertising for both them and you!”
