RE/MAX affiliates look forward to the numerous ways to connect with one another during R4. An absolute favorite for many is the annual Global Referrals Exchange, a mass gathering of affiliates from around the world celebrating their cultures and forming new friendships across borders. Plus, it’s a hotspot for international referrals.
On February 28, day two of the annual convention, joy was audible – through chatter, laughter and song – as the bustling crowd joined this year’s Global Referrals Exchange, proudly flying flags of their countries. From Brazil to Japan to Australia and more, so many RE/MAX affiliates were represented during the beloved event.
“This is what RE/MAX is all about – gathering people from around the world. And this is where business happens, through deals, handshakes and sharing cultures,” said Ján Repa, RE/MAX Global Area Vice President. “This is RE/MAX.”
The global aspect of the RE/MAX brand is a leading draw for many professionals. Recognized worldwide for its iconic balloon and a trustworthy reputation, RE/MAX boasts a presence in more than 110 countries and territories.
“It’s great to meet international friends, be part of the biggest network in real estate, and tune up my skills that I can deliver at home to all of our agents,” said Martijn Groot, Region Director of RE/MAX The Netherlands in Amsterdam, Netherlands. “R4 is a great convention.”
Referral opportunities around the globe will continue even once R4 has come to an end thanks to a new Global Referrals Platform, designed to make international business deals a breeze. Powered by GryphTech – the driver of global.remax.com – the refreshed platform auto-translates referrals into more than 50 languages, meaning affiliates on each side of a transaction will receive information in their preferred language.
“Business has been getting more and more global,” RE/MAX President and CEO Nick Bailey said onstage during the R4 Opening General Session. “[That’s why] we’re announcing the brand-new Global Referrals Platform. It’s available to affiliates all across the world.”
Having a high-tech, streamlined way to connect year-round is imperative for RE/MAX agents conducting international business, or looking to expand their offerings. Meeting in person at the annual R4, however, is many affiliates’ favorite way to nurture relationships and connect with lifelong friends.
“People come to R4 because of events like this,” Repa said. “The Global Referrals Exchange just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year, just like the RE/MAX network around the world.”
